Publicly available records published by the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA), indicate that Merrill Lynch broker Anthony Watts, also known as Todd Watts, has received several customer disputes. Mr. Watts is employed at the Charleston, West Virginia Merrill Lynch branch. He allegedly misrepresented material facts related to an investment in a private equity fund, recommended an unsuitable investment, and recommended unsuitable products, among other things. These are all against securities laws. Merrill Lynch may be liable for investment losses. Anthony Todd Watts, according to his FINRA BrokerCheck report, was previously registered with Merrill Lynch in Charleston, West Virginia from December 1989 until April 2009, Citigroup in Charleston from March 2009 until June 2009 and Morgan Stanley in Charleston from June 2009 until May 2016. He is currently registered with Merrill Lynch in Charleston, and has been since April 2016. He has five customer disputes against him.
